I've had the opportunity to drive the MAN TGM extensively, particularly in tougher rural conditions. The handling is precise, and the suspension holds up well even on uneven terrain, offering a smooth ride. However, the placement of the engine results in slightly increased cabin noise during high performance. The ergonomics around the driver's seat provide excellent command over the vehicle's controls, ensuring a confident driving experience.

Tried out the Atego for distribution runs. Visibility is better than comparable models I’ve driven, and the cabin layout feels practical for daily work. Starting with a traditional key seems outdated but works fine. The payload handling was seamless, though maneuverability in tight urban spaces requires slight practice. Would suggest improvements in base specifications.

Been running an Atego since 2016, mostly city hauls with the 4-cylinder diesel. First thing, it sips less fuel than older trucks, so that’s easy on the wallet over time. I do wish I didn’t have to watch the CAN wires so much though, mine started acting up around 600k kilometers: sometimes the dash lights up like a disco for no reason. It’s not too hard to fix at the right shop, but still an extra headache every few years. Cab is alright, feels tough, but I had a tiny rust spot under the windshield after a few winters. Suspension’s never been great for huge potholes, so you gotta take city craters slow or risk breaking bits. Overall, keeps moving and does what I need.

Box truck Mitsubishi Fuso Canter

Ran a Canter tipper for local jobs and it’s a pretty straightforward truck. Cab’s got 3 seats, bright interior, and the layout makes sense. You don’t fight the controls all day, which matters when you’re hopping in and out.

The dump body options (2-way or 3-way) are handy if you work tight sites. Steel bed feels proper, not some thin stuff. Payload around 4.5t is realistic for the class.

Engine is a 4.9L turbo diesel, 180 hp with a 6-speed manual. It pulls fine for city and regional runs, but don’t expect it to feel quick when you’re loaded. Fuel use listed at about 23L/100km… yeah, that sounds about right, it’s not a small van.

I had the chance to work with the MAN TGM 2017, and here’s my take. The variety of configurations available is commendable, catering to diverse commercial needs. The cab’s interior is functional, albeit taking care of some minor wear is advisable. However, issues like occasional electronic faults can crop up, especially in regions with variable environmental conditions, so a keen eye on diagnostics is a must.

I've driven a couple of these Canters for delivery jobs. Not gonna lie, fuel consumption is on the high side. Eats up about 26 liters and that's just city routes, not even maxed out loads. For a smaller truck, that's kinda wild. The engine pulls fine but those injectors (форсунки) are weak, had to replace them way earlier than on my old Isuzu. And when they go, you can forget about basic repairs, gotta fork over for new ones. Service is a pain for me too, closest shop that actually knows Mitsu trucks is a few hours out of my city. Still, steering’s good and shifting's smooth. Not terrible for short city trips, but you gotta budget for extra fuel and some annoying downtime.

I’ve been behind the wheel of a Canter for a couple years now, hauling for construction sites. The payload it takes is impressive, and the different chassis lengths let the company kit them out for various roles. The diesel bites well, has enough torque for city hills. Fuel consumption is about what you'd expect for this class - don’t hope for magic, but not killing the budget either. Maintenance has been normal, nothing weird in the service intervals. One time had to change a bit on the brakes, but ABS does its job, even in the winter when it gets icy. The mirrors and front glass give pretty solid visibility. Not perfect, but not sketchy either. No major breakdowns yet, so far seems like a reliable ride.

Recently had the chance to operate a DAF LF for a fleet contract. It provides consistent performance, particularly for medium loads. However, the suspension feels a bit stiff over uneven surfaces. Fuel consumption is reasonable, and overall, it’s a reliable choice for such tasks.

Over my tenure operating the MAN TGL, I have come to appreciate its performance efficiency. The TipMatic gearbox simplifies navigation through dense city traffic. Nevertheless, I did experience occasional challenges with the onboard diagnostics interface, which took a learning curve to effectively utilize.

So, I've spent quite some time with the MAN TGL model, and here’s what I think. The truck's comfort level, especially the sleeping area, is a significant advantage for those long hauls. Driving it feels smooth and effortless, although during loaded trips, you might notice slightly decreased acceleration. I approved of the maintenance aspects; wear and tear are minimal even after prolonged use. To summarize, overall, it delivers dependably.
